CTK CRUSADER CHATTER
(Use the link below for special photo edition.)
It’s time for this crazy weather to settle down. We’ve had enough of colds and flu for this season.
Congratulations to our January Students of the Month. All of us are very proud of you.
Also, good luck to our homeroom Geography Bee winners – Brianna Teran, Bailey Hollingsworth, Tory Tran, Jacie Marshall, Evan McNeil, Patrick Strahan, Skylar Cicotte, Christopher Green, Stephen Becnel, and Madison Nguyen. These students will now compete in the CTK Geography Bee on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Good luck to all!
Registration for returning students will be from Monday, January 22 – Friday, January 26, 2018. Packets will be sent home today. Please let us know if you need a packet for a sibling who will be joining us next year. This year our Open House for new students will be on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tours will take place every ½ hour beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please tell all of your friends and family and let’s get the word out that CTK is the place to be if they want the best education for their children. Remember that we offer PK2 – 7th grade classes and have many extracurricular activities. If someone you know is unable to attend the Open House, please let them know that we
will be glad to give private tours at their convenience.
One more housekeeping item – birthday celebrations. Remember that parents are only allowed to send individually wrapped treats to be shared with classmates. This means that any type of cake, such as king cake, must be precut. You should send napkins along with the treat. No drinks, ice cream, food, or family members are allowed.
Guess what is right around the corner? That’s right, it’s the CTK Parish Fair and things are already kicking into high gear. Students will be allowed to wear Fair t-shirts on Fridays until the Fair! So, look for your t-shirt order form coming home today and get those orders in.
Once again, carpool issues have to be addressed. First, afternoon carpool ends when the last car goes through the gate and there are no
other cars in sight. There is no set time for the gate to close in the afternoon. On average, carpool ends about 3:25 p.m., but may end sooner or later depending on what is going on at school that day. Second, we have been informed by JPSO that cars will not be allowed to park and wait for the carpool line to shorten or block traffic by turning in the middle of the street. It seems that some people are arriving near the end of the carpool line from Dolphin and parking on that corner until the line is short enough to turn in. PLEASE ADHERE TO THE RULES.
